My dear old friend,
Simply put but deeply felt … I will miss you very much. In particular, I will miss our regular phone chats that usually lasted for about one hour or more each time. During those chats you always made me laugh so much … often about some quirky comment about a recent event or something or someone from your long past. Your comments revealed your exceptional wit, independence, assertiveness and love for life and appreciation of family. But most of all, I was impressed by your sharp mind. I cannot count the many times you astonished me with your ability to recall details and facts from both current and past events. Despite our age difference, we shared many of the same values and beliefs. For one thing, we loved to read the same books and watch the same movies, especially about smart and strong women.
Indeed, you have been a very special and unique friend who will be sorely missed. As a good friend, you never forgot my birthday and sent me well-wishes and encouragement after surgery or during sickness. I never forget the incredibly beautiful bouquet of flowers that arrived after one of my surgeries!
I hope you are having fun wherever you are, meeting old friends and dear family members, yet stirring up a lot of trouble!
