Fond memories of Chuck and Betty. So grateful for all he did for my mom Doris and dad Art Bender through the years! Thoughts and prayers are with the whole Beck family.

Mr. Beck will always have a special place in my heart. He was always baking or cooking something and sharing it with me. Wonderful soups and you never knew what was going to be in the muffins he made. He never made them the same way twice. I loved seeing the leaves from his beans and cucumbers peering over the fence. He loved planting and growing things and his garden was always lush and vibrant. Over the years he taught me many things. Repaired my bike, put a new sensor in my outdoor light, brought my shrub back to life and was responsible for more kindnesses than I can list. After my mother died he always checked up on me. I miss him more than I can say.

Uncle Chuck had a huge heart for serving others and I’m sure GOD met him and said; Well done, my good and faithful servant!!! My fondest memory was a few years back, my father (Len Hoffman), wife Dawn, and myself were visiting at there house and as we were eating lunch, Uncle Chuck was playing some beautiful piano music and I asked him who that was, and he said it’s your Mom playing and I recorded alot of her music. I couldn’t hold the tears back because I was so happy that he did that. We now have a CD full of my Mom playing piano thanks to Uncle Chucks insight.

Q: How did you meet Charles?
A: Len, Randy and I went to see Chuck and Betty one day when Len was visiting from California. It was the first time that I met Chuck (Betty too!). They were the best hosts. They served us an absolutely delicious lunch, and I enjoyed hearing fun stories from their past. Chuck put on some music during our lunch. It was Ellen playing the piano! We had no idea that anyone had ever taped Ellen playing the piano when she was alive! Len and Randy were in tears (tears of happiness)
Chuck had given us the best gift ever!!! We will be forever grateful and will never forget that incredible time together!
