Michael I knew the day you were born that you were going to be someone special. Not only were you special to Dad and me but you were so special to so many people. You truly were one of a kind. There will never be another like you. You were so unique in so many ways. My heart just cries for you and misses you everyday and it will until the day I die and meet you again. I hope you know just how much you were truly loved not just by me but by everyone who contributed to this beautiful book of your life. You have touched so many lives in your short time here. No wonder God wanted you home so soon. I am so thankful for God putting you into my life. You were my miracle from God and I now have to muster the strength to somehow let you go peacefully back into his arms. I will cherish every memory kiss and hug we ever had. I will think of you and love you the rest of my days. I wish I could be at peace as I know you are finally. Enjoy heaven you so deserve it. Love you always and forever. “I won’t let go”❣️❣️love always and forever, Mom

Probably the best memories I have besides the obvious Disney memories when we all went in 2014 is when you stopped and stayed at my house on your way up to Michigan to spend time with your family in the summer of 2021. And then Brad & I went along with you, Eric & your brother Nick, to Kings Dominion. What I super fun time we had. And I think you personally had the BEST time laughing at ME and being whipped around like crazy on all the rollercoasters LOL. I also included some pics from Christmas in 2016!! That Christmas was very special because it was the Christmas that you got engaged :) Which was also a very special memory of mine, being included in the engagement. I was very shocked and pleased that you thought of that and that you called me and asked me for your permission to ask Eric to marry you :)

Going to miss his humor and Michigan rivalry. Always enjoyed his back and forth texts on the game and his excitement when he would open his Christmas stocking to see the stupid and funny stuff I put in them. The best thing you did Michael was being a friend and soul mate for Eric . We can never forget the memories you left us.
Rest in peace Michael.

Michael,
I’ve held off writing this because I didn’t know what to say, because I didn’t want to say goodbye, because nothing I write here can truly capture all that you meant to those in your life.
We hadn’t seen each other in a long time and we didn’t really talk that often, but knowing you were out in the world and knowing we would talk when needed was always a comfort. I can’t tell you how badly I’ve wanted to message you in the last month - but, let’s focus on you.
Thank you for all of our conversations. The good ones, the bad ones, the funny ones, the tear filled ones, all of them - thank you.
Thank you for always being a reality check, you were blunt, straightforward, and always told me what I needed to hear even if I didn’t want to hear it.
Thank you for the late night Applebee’s adventures. I’d get appetizers, you’d usually get some kind of meal, and we would sit and just talk and laugh.
Thank you for always being my best friend “date” for social outings and for being really good at laser tag and still being on a team with me even though I was awful.
Thank you for taking weird pictures of me and adding strange captions.
Thank you for going to the UM dining halls with me and laughing with me as I gorged on paczki and labeling it a catholic problem like that’s what it was even though we both know I obviously had a doughnut problem.
Thank you for forcing me to go on Millennium Force even though I was definitely one of those people that start to black out going down the first hill. Thank you for making time to hang out with me while I was at Cedar Point.
Thank you for trying to teach me to play blackjack like a boss at the casino (and sorry you failed because my brain just doesn’t work like that).
Thank you for screaming “BEAR!” mimicking your GPS as we headed to Taco Bell after I lost all my money. Anytime I hear my gps say “bear” that memory pops up.
Thank you for all the invites to Florida and offers of a place to stay and sorry I never made it.
Thank you for being the best Euchre partner I could ask for - I still cannot believe we went undefeated. As far as Euchre partners go, you were the best I had record wise, can’t beat undefeated.
Thank you for always being you and for being my friend. Thank you for capturing a piece of my heart, being a part of my life, and leaving me with happy memories until we can meet again.
I miss you, Michael.

Michael Robert Stewart. Not Mikey or Mike but Michael. And he would quickly correct you if you tried to call him anything other than Michael.
I had the pleasure of getting to know Michael over what would be his last three months. Although we had seen each other at elite clubs national league or ECNL soccer events over the years, I finally had the opportunity to connect with him when I was appointed assignor for Florida Krush Kraze better known as FKK.
As his referee assignor, I was in the unique position of overseeing his referee assignments while getting to know him better as a friend. From our short time together we had a lot in common. We both love Disney and of course soccer. Fantsmic was Michael’s favorite show. I remember him texting me a picture when he was at the show and I replied back, “I’m jealous.” Likewise when I went to the show and texted him a picture from the show he replied back “I’m jealous.”
Disney’s Harmonious at Epcot and Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom tied for second place in Disney’s nighttime entertainment offerings for Michael. To borrow a line from Disney's Happily Ever After fireworks display, “It’s just beginning -feel your heart beat faster. Reach out and find your happily ever after.”
I know Michael would get emotional every time he say the show as we all would. It didn’t matter if it was your 1st time or 100th time seeing the show. The magic of Disney has a way of capturing your heart.
One thing Michael had was sass. If we were ever on the field together and he heard someone say OFFSIDES! He’d reply, what’s that? Offsides doesn’t exist. It’s offside get it right and no the player was not offside.
Michael was always willing to help me out as an assignor. One recent weekend I asked him to come referee games in Deltona and Ormond Beach. Without hesitation he said yes. During that week I was given a heads up from the club that the game Michael would be refereeing had some rowdy parents who had been accused in the past of day drinking on the touchline. When I informed Michael of what he could possibly be walking into he thought it was comical. The game went well and the Deltona Soccer club praised him for his outstanding officiating and control of the game. I purposely assigned myself to the Ormond beach game to work with Michael. When the teams came over to pay and he was only given $30 he looked at me and said, “you know you’re only going to get $30 worth of effort.” I laughed. Money was not a motivating factor for Michael. He had told me that on several occasions. That to me is the true tell tale sign of someone who is just passionate and loves what they do. They don’t do it for the money but rather for the enjoyment of the game.
I’d like to close my remarks by bringing it back to Disney with a few lines from Happily Ever After. “The battles, the stories, the loses and all the glory.
We’re changed by the way we live every day. Just look up and reach to the sky. We all have the courage to fly”
Michael’s flown on but no doubt he is looking down upon us. His friendship is like the wind. We can’t see it but we can feel it.

Michael was my dearest friend. He and Alison were my family and supported me as a single mother. He was an unofficial uncle to my children and he got me through so much in my life. Alison and I hated him when we met him, we thought he was so arrogant and a know it all, to which we discovered he was but that was his quirks. He would do anything for his friends and family. I just wish I could've done more for him. My favorite memory of Michael will always be when we were talking on the phone and I was driving down one of the toll ways in Florida. I didn't have a sunpass so I had to stop at the toll booth to pay. Michael is still on the phone and over hears this toll booth attendant start to awkwardly hit on me and ask for my number. Finally he took my money and let me drive off and Michael was listening the whole time. I get home and Michael comes over to do homework and have dinner but as soon as he enters my apartment he just throws a sunpass at me. It was so funny the way he did it and it meant a lot to me. I miss him so much and I'm so sorry for his family's loss. You helped create and shape a beautiful human being who was very loved. Michael was so lucky to have Eric who never gave up on him and loved him through everything.
Michael will always be my favorite doctor and DAARling.

Q: What will you miss most about Michael?
A: I'm going to miss Michael's laugh. Every time we were together there was laughter. One of my favorite memories with him was when he came with me to a bridal show and everyone just assumed he was my fiance. We had a fun time with it, danced around, took photo booth pictures, entered for all of the raffles, and ate every last free cake sample we could find. Michael was one of my dearest friends and the loss of the laughter we would share together is going to be the thing I miss most.

Looking back at our childhood together, I’m so grateful for getting you as a friend growing up. From days at the soccer field, laser tag with friends, exploring the few places we could, and just hanging out.
I’m so happy that as we went through college and grew into adults that you and I stayed friends. I loved meeting up with you at Disney, hanging out by the pool, and just catching up. We were truly lucky to get to have the kind of friendship that lasts from childhood to adulthood. I will miss you, Michael. I love you.

They say you don’t realize the value of a moment until it becomes a memory. My memories with Michael are now personal treasures that I wouldn’t trade for anything. No tears or words can truly express how much he is missed every day. Michael was an amazing friend and person. The smartest man I’ve ever known, with the determination to pursue anything he was passionate about. A true friend who cared deeply about his loved ones, he was never afraid to stand up for what he believed in or stand behind someone he cared for. I will forever cherish the guidance and love he brought into my life.
Michael, you will always be remembered and loved ❤️

Michael loved his time at the Rosen College of Hospitality Management at the University of Central Florida. Michael was a stellar undergraduate and graduate student. Associate Dean Dr. Alan Fyall was also impressed with Michael’s skills as a professional soccer referee.
Instructor Vicki Lavendol first met Michael when he was a student in her class. After Michael started graduate studies at Rosen, he became Graduate Assistant for Professor Lavendol for three years. They had a very special relationship then that continued throughout the years.
Michael was on the Rosen College Alumni Board and is an honored alumnus of Rosen College; alumni, faculty, and staff send their respects.
We celebrate Michael’s life, and honor him from Orlando. Deepest heartfelt sympathies to Michael’s family, friends, and especially Eric.
We will miss Michael very much, and thank you for allowing us to honor Michael and his life in this way. Professor Lavendol and Dr. Fyall

Michael, I’m so blessed that I had such an amazing, handsome, witty and charming Nephew. Even though your life here with us was short, I was so proud on how you accomplished so much! We shared a lot of great memories that I will always cherish…Christmas, Halloween, Family Vacations, Fourth of July, Midland Fair, Camping and other events. I will never forget the stay overs we had either at my house, your house or Aunt Shells. I will always keep in my heart the one Thanksgivings that Michael said he was great full to have his Aunt Tubbie pregnant!! That so touched my heart along with my Tubbie and Freddie names that we bonded with! Thanks so much Michael for introducing the McDonald’s Carmel Frappe and the shamrock an chocolate mix to create our chocolate mint shake. I will always remember our “ AT NIGHT” saying when we go out late at night for our Taco Bell run!! Michael, you have touched us all with your love a kindness and it won’t ever be forgotten! This isn’t a goodbye, it’s a see you later until I CAN CELEBRATE AGAIN WITH YOU!! I know you’re at Peace with God. God bless the Stewart family. I love you all and my thoughts are with you!! There are so many wonderful things to remember about Michael. I will never forget the day he borrowed our corvette for senior prom. He was so handsome and excited to drive that car. He also loved being up at the lake. Glen took the family out in his boat. Michael changed the radio to work with his phone. When Glen and I went out the next day I couldn't figure out how to get the stations back. I eventually figured it out. I will miss his smile, his voice, his hugs and his big heart. I will always love you.

I remember Mike at about 5 years old standing next to our TV imitating a TV weatherman. There was always a tornado coming. It amazed me that he knew all of the weather terms. I also remember Mike playing township football. He was about 10 or 11. He ran for a 100 yard touchdown without being touched. He was fast! I think he got that from his mother. As he grew older his intelligence amazed me. My heart is sad that we lost one of the Stewart Boys.

My parents wrote about Michael’s accomplishments, characteristics and hobbies in his obituary. And I want to share stories to support what was said.
One thing that was left out was my brother’s one semester at OSU. I was in college at the time deciding my major and I was looking for anything that didn’t require acceptance or letters of recommendation. At the same time my brother was applying for graduate assistant programs across the US for his masters degree. Michael was determined in what he wanted. He was confident in the work he did, therefore he didn’t fear rejection. I want us to learn from Michael, you miss the shots that you don’t take. I see this confidence shining through my younger brother as he left home to pursue pharmacy school. My older sister that is starting up her own business. And I guess in myself as I winged it becoming a mom, if that counts.
Mom Felicia Michael fury and I drove from Florida to Oklahoma to drop off michael so he can influence students and be in the position of power to determine grades. This lasted a semester before he wanted to return to Florida, Disney and Eric. Which who can blame him. Big difference between the country and Orlando.
My parents also mentioned Michael loved family and holiday celebrations. My family can testify that Michael was the life of the party. As young kids he was creating the games we played. From survivor, hopefully someone will touch on this story later, to hardy acres and court house in our grandparents basement. I remember for New Years Michael would create our own ball dropping ceremony in the living room. For Fourth of July he would pretend to be a pyrotechnican and light off a whole display. The biggest one being out at grandpas property with all the cousins to witness.
Above is part of my speech I’m sharing on the tribute wall. Today we had Chinese in honor of your birthday. Rylan even had some!
Summer 2021 Mike spent a few months in Michigan. The morning he came into town was the morning I found out I was pregnant. That day our family had a softball tournament and Graduation party. At the end of the day we ended up at the Hardy’s house for a bonfire. Mike did arts and crafts and we made spooky wreaths. Mike helped me cut down a few branches around the house. One of which somehow came pretty close to hitting the jeep even though we thought we were in the clear. And when it came time to picking when and what to eat, he was nice enough to say whatever the baby wants. I was pregnant with Rylan at the time. That was the best summer and I was hoping to have more.

Michael - You are going to be missed by so many. You always could make me laugh no matter what. I loved you from the moment Eric introduced you and brought you into our family. You and Eric were meant for each other and I loved seeing you two together. ♥️
You always made comments about hating kids - saying eww when I’d talk about anything to do with kids but you ALWAYS showed my kids so much love. They called you uncle Michael and they enjoyed having you around. I just wish you could have met Bentley - I know you would have loved him just as much as Chloe, Landen & Brady!!!
A few of my favorite memories of you are:
1) We we’re at Hollywood studios and you heard that the Star Wars fireworks were starting and you picked up Landen (who also enjoys Star Wars) and you ran to get up close to see the fireworks show! ♥️
2) Josh & I came to Disney for 24hrs for our 10yr wedding anniversary and you were our third wheel date all day because Eric had to work. You rode rides with us, we got dole whips together and watched the parade. Then you decided to tell us that the Tiki Room was the BEST and we just had to do it. Once we got inside and it started I was confused, this was boring and I wasn’t impressed but you were laughing your butt off because you thought it was the funniest thing. To this day when I hear the Tiki Room song I always think of you!
Michael your life was cut way to short, but it was your time for a reason we’ll never understand. I’ll continue to keep your memory alive for my kids - you’ll never be forgotten.
Xoxo - Tiffany ( & Josh, Chloe, Landen, Brady & Bentley) Thompson

I love you forever and always Michael, 9.5 years together just wasn’t enough.
“Every step we take, brings a new hope, a new day
Every choice we make helps us find our own way
Every wish that we pull into motion
Diving in with our hearts wide open
The story comes alive, when we look inside
A new adventure there in your life
There in your eyes
It's just beginning
Feel your heart beat faster
Reach out and find your happily ever after
Find your happily ever after“

Our family is just learning about this horrible tragedy. We don't get see our cousins often enough. I saw a lot of photos of Todds wedding. They were fantastic. I absolutely love getting together with the Krager bunch. We used to be able to see each other at the family reunions out at State Park. I'm so saddened by this. May the Lord be merciful to Paul, Cindy, Eric, Aunt Margo, Uncle Lance, Michael's siblings, the whole Krager bunch and all the families and friends. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you guys. There's a virtual army praying for you. Imagine a rainbow of prayers heading to heaven on your behalf! Love You Guys!

It’s obviously fitting I light a candle for you, considering we loved our candle burning parties! I remember all the good times you, me and Eric had by doing silly little things like go shopping at Meijer, playing board games and even looking for socks in the apartment we all shared! I remember when you and Eric adopted a bunny together (the first of many fur-children you guys would have!) and how you laughed at me for giving my daughter the same name as that bunny. Recently we used to like to troll in the Cedar Point passholder groups which it’s been hard to post a snarky comment in one of those without having you as my wingman backing me up!
I’m really sad that you and Eric will never physically get to walk down the aisle together, but I remember that time we all played Life together and you guys got “married” then. It seems like such a random memory but even after 9 years it stands out.
Rest In Peace, friend!

Michael, you were the one person who I could geek over U of M in Buckeye territory with no shame. You made a WOLVERINE out of your born and bred Buckeye fiancé! I know we never got to work with each other directly but I loved our friendship we built. You and Eric deserved that magical life together after your incredible accomplishments you both achieved completing school and scoring amazing jobs! You both were incredible fur dads and even though life got out of control- your love for your little family was always there. I’ll always remember that about you.
You will forever be missed and, listen- I really need you to help us beat TCU and whoever we play for the title game. I see you running along side Edwards going in for those rushing TDs.
LOVE YOU BIG MICHAEL! You may be gone but you will never be forgotten!

Michael - You were such a great friend and coworker. I loved when our breaks would align and we would spend our 45s or 30s eating fries, talking about what we wanted to do after the summer was over, and making fun of Eric. (all in good fun of course).
I was so excited for your future wedding and marriage, and loved watching you and Eric grow together over the last 9 years. We will all miss you so deeply but we will never forget what an impact you had on everyone's lives. Thank you for being authentically you, always. See you on the other side one day. Love you!
