Obituary of Lucille Mae Clements

Saginaw, Michigan
Devoted wife, mother, loving grandmother and great grandmother. Passed away peacefully at the age of 101. She was born June 10, 1919, daughter of Anson and Myrtle (Jones) Spooner. She lived in the Saginaw area all of her life. Lucille married Malcolm R. Clements Sr. in 1935, who predeceased her August 1, 1999. Lucille was a 50 year member of Bridgeport Community Church, and for many years held membership with the Merry Wives Club. She enjoyed get-togethers with family and friends and playing cards. Her favorite past time was reading, listening to music and doing crossword puzzles. Lucille was a lifelong University of Michigan Football fan.
Lucille is survived by her daughter, Beverly Palmer of Bridgeport; son, Anson E. “Rocky” (Jill) Clements of Durand; daughter in-law, Connie Clements of Swan Creek; son in-law, Dr. Eldon Vance of Mt. Morris; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Cathy Spooner of Saginaw; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Malcolm Sr., Lucille was predeceased by her son, Malcolm R. Clements Jr.; daughter, Sandi Vance; son-in-law, Dean Palmer; granddaughter, Melanie Sue Clements, two sisters: June Riselay and Betty Schleicher; and two brothers, Don and Arthur Spooner.
FUNERAL: A funeral service for Lucille will take place 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Bridgeport Community Church, 3821 State St, Bridgeport, MI 48722. VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at Bridgeport Community Church, 3821 State St, Bridgeport, MI 48722 on Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In keeping with mandatory ordinances, please wear a face mask, keep social distances and limitations on attendance will be followed.
