It was the end of June 1966. when I went to my future in-laws home to show them my future husband's graduation picttures. Visiting her uncle & aunt, Catalina & Zeferino Ruiz was Lourdes Espinoza. Seated were the most beautiful three children. It was Gloria, Ruben & Richard. The most outstanding to me was this 5 yr. old beautiful girl with the thickest, longest braids that went down past her waist. This is how that image always came back to me each time I saw her over the years. She never changed because she was a watchful caretaker of her two brothers (Robbie Espinoza wasn't to be born till March 1967 the following year).
She played the piano and played it so well. She played "Tale of Vienna Woods" for me and Robert.
She loved music, and had strong dedicated beliefs. She loved her family and loved her grandchildren the most. It hurts she won't be there for them because she was full swing in being a part of their lives.
My condolences to Salvador, Miguel & Analaura, her parents, Jesse & Lourdes Espinoza, her siblings Ruben, Richard & Robert, to their wives and extended family. We're devastated too by this great loss. May Gloria rest in peace. Your cousins, Dora & Robert Ruiz & family.

We have lost an important member of our St. Francis family. Gloria shared her musical talents with everyone. She guided me in the Spanish choir & taught my kids church songs that they will remember. Condolences to her parents, husband, children, and grandchildren. You will be missed by the Munguia family! May the angels welcome you to paradise!

I was stunned and saddened yesterday when I learned of Glo passing away. She was a dear friend during our high school years, and it was fun playing volleyball and softball together. I remember that she was thoughtful and bought me a dozen donuts for my birthday one year, and she came to my graduation open house and gave me a stuffed basketball that she had hand made...and I still have it! I remember that she was mature, responsible, smart and laughed with ease. The picture I'm attaching is on our last day of school during our junior year in 1978. It's Glo, me and Sal Gewirtz. My deepest sympathy to her parents and family, her husband, children, and grandchildren.

A wonderful person was introduced to the Post family as my niece chose to marry Gloria's son, Miguel. My son, Nick, became very good friends with Miguel early on and has been friends and "brothers" since then. But most of all, the Post family got to taste her tortillas, and every year this dear sweet lady made them for our "Post family camp." The best and he always had extra for my son Nick. She always included us in everything we shared and Heaven has received an angel and we "Post's" were blessed to know her and love her.

So sad to hear especially for her parents, husband, children and grandchildren she adored and vice versa. The community as well has lost a great member. I have lost a friend. When my mother died she first person along with Robbie to ask if they could sing at my mom's funeral home service, I hadn't even thought it out yet. I was/am so grateful for that. And many other things. My grandson Felix Jose' named after my tio and dad. I told her when he was about 5 or 6 that he was something else, she laughed and said "well, what do you expect, look who he was named after". We laughed so hard. Only she could have gotten away with that because she knew my relationship with both of them and how we teased each other. I could share so much... My prayers are constant and have been for the last few years for our Gloria and her family. She was so scared the last time she was in the hospital, updated me daily on how she was doing, good day, bad day. Last words to me were when she was discharged home were "God is Good"
