Bradt, David F. Saginaw, Michigan Loving husband, father and grandfather passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2020, at Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw. David Fenton Bradt was born December 3, 1939, in Saginaw, MI, to the late Fenton and Evelyn Fern (Abbey) Bradt. On October 17, 1964, he married Patricia Barbara Kapka, who passed away on September 3, 1975. He then married Patricia Antoinette Henige on June 19, 1976. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. David attended Delta College where he earned an Associate Degree. He was employed by General Motors as a Journeymen Electrician and retired after 34 years of service. He served as the Zilwaukee Township Supervisor from 1972 until 2014 and continued to serve as a trustee from 2014 until his passing. David loved his family's home he built on the Saginaw River where he enjoyed working in his yard and watching boats go by. He loved feeding and watching the birds and squirrels in his yard. David also enjoyed cooking for his family and going fishing. He had a passion for investing in the stock market and encouraged his children to build their savings and invest in their future. What he really loved most was spending time with his family, friends, and neighbors. Surviving him are his wife, Patricia Bradt; children, Karen (Jeffrey) Newman, Laura Knipfer, Kristin (Dane) Grzegorczyk; grandchildren, Benjamin & Claire Newman, Julia Knipfer, Connor & Carson Grzegorczyk; sister, Susan (Fred) Kerns; sister in-law, Dorothy Bradt; and many relatives. David was also preceded in death by his brother, James Bradt. FUNERAL SERVICE: A Private Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 31, 2020. Tori Little will officiate. Rite of Committal to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Military Honors will be conducted under the auspices of the United States Navy and American Legion Post 439. MEMORIALS: The family requests you take time to honor David by enjoying a cold beverage by the water and remember the good times you shared together.
