My uncle Dave was a kind and thoughtful person. Just a few days ago I shared with my cousin Karen the 3 things I will remember most about him.
From our childhood I can still see the water racing past his backyard near the seawall at their home while being yelled at by my mother to be careful as I skipped rocks across the river. Uncle Dave would help me find those rocks and laugh as I tried to figure out how to skip them the right way. His boat was the only one in the family at that time and we enjoyed it when he took us out for a ride (with one of the younger Uncles water skiing behind - maybe it was Greg but I'm not sure on that). What a cool place to visit!
Uncle Dave and Aunt Pat came to Dayton Ohio to visit my wife Alicia and I and their son-in-law's parents for the Fourth of July back in 2000 or 2001. We had so much fun hanging out with them at Wright Pat AFB watching fireworks, drinking beer, and capping the night drinking Irish Coffee. Got up just in time the next day to go to a German restaurant for dinner!
Over the past few years I have enjoyed watching him steal cookies from the dessert table at the Henige Christmas parties in NL. Had to make fun of him for that! So I would wait until he was almost back to his table to ask him what he had in his pockets (LOL!).
We love you Uncle Dave and will take care of Aunt Pat for you.

Uncle Dave and Aunt Pat were always generous and kind to have me and my brother and our dog! stay with them during the summertime, and we all had a lot of fun! My strongest memory of Uncle Dave is of him sitting with the loyal dogs in his chair! I will always remember those days, the food, the barking, the family times.

While being at the Bradt house seeing Susan when we were in elementary school, I have a fond memory of Dave in his Navy uniform, home on leave, I think. The handsome "older man" in uniform made quite an impression! Ship ahoy and God speed!

Dave and I both worked at Chevy Parts Plant for about 15 years, and most of that time in the Maintenance Dept. Early on, we shared a ride into work, and talked about a variety of subjects. He was very knowledgeable and had a good vision of the big picture. It was a pleasure to know Dave and call him a friend.
