Obituary of Carole Zingg
Please share a memory of Carole to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and dear friend passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, June 19, 2020 at HealthSource-Saginaw. She was 89 years old. Carole Isabella Frieders was born on January 20, 1931 in Bay City to the late Anthony and Anna (Kamenick) Frieders. As a young woman she worked for her family's business, The City Dairy. She married Frederick Zingg on November 6, 1954 at St. James Catholic Church in Bay City. He preceded her in death in 1993. Together they raised their three children: Fred, Barb and Dave. When Carole's children were older she started her own day care. All of the children fondly knew her as "Momma Carole", and in later years "Gramma Carole". Carole would often be found spending her free time tending to her home and yard. She was an avid college sports fan and watched many events on TV. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Carole's legacy will live on through her children and their families. She is survived by her son, Fred (Mary) Zingg, Barb (Dave) Starr and Dave (Doris) Zingg; seven grandchildren, Jackie (Trevor) Keyser, Stephen Zingg, Jacob and Dylan Starr, Audrey and Andrew Zingg and Kelly (Josh) Wright; four great grandchildren, Max and Drew Keyser and Alexi and Bradley Wright; brother, Dan Frieders; sister, Dona Nicholson; sister-in-law, Jackie Frieders and many nieces and nephews.
Carole was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred; step-mother, Adina Frieders; brothers and sisters: Barb (Bob) Kienbaum, Ken Frieders, Winnie (James) Brennan, Susie (Ed) Villaire, Joy (Bernie) Thomas, Bill (Ethel) Zingg and Bob (Shirley) Zingg; and her nephew, Jim Kienbaun.
