Warner, Wallace James "Butch" Hemlock, Michigan Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at Union Court Assisted Living of St. Charles. He was 85 years old. Butch was born July 21, 1934 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late William and Beatrice (Garvey) Warner. He married Mary Ellen Corcoran on August 11, 1956 in Saginaw, Michigan. She preceded him in death on May 8, 2004. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Butch was employed by Michigan Bell Telephone as a cable splicer, retiring after 28 years of service. He was president of CWA, Local #4108 for 12 years. Butch was appointed to the Michigan Liquor Control Commission where he served for eight years. He also served on the Saginaw Road Commission for nine years. Butch was a member of the Sons of Italy, Saginaw County Democratic Party, the Fordney Club, American Legion Post #439, Moose Lodge #82, and the Knights of Columbus Father Nouvel Council #4232. His heart and soul was his family and farm (of 50 years) where he and Mary Ellen raised their children. He took such pride in having them remain on the "Compound" with their families to this day! He will be forever remembered and cherished by his grandchildren and others for the stories shared of his childhood, worldwide travels and all his lifetime shenanigans! Butch enjoyed the friendships he made over the years. Golfing, luncheons and visiting with them in the sun by his pond. He had a passion for politics, as a loyal Democrat, he was ready to have a great debate with anyone who was up to the challenge. Butch rubbed elbows with three U.S. Presidents and many elected officials. Surviving are his children, Jim (Jill) Warner, Tony (Deb) Warner, Beth (Mike) Craun, and Linda (Paul) Parson; grandchildren, Ted (Laura) Parson, Brandon Haag, Heather (Steve) Everett, Mark (Laura) Parson, Brent (Meghan) Haag, Cortney (Beau) Hoffman, Charlie Warner, Kallee (Paddy) Hobohm, Felicia (AJ) Warner, Amanda (Brett) Warner, Jessalyn (Zach) Craun and Paul Matthew Craun; 13 great-grandchildren and one on the way; siblings; Billie, Rosie, and Ronnie; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
