Obituary of Thomas B. Reinke

Reinke, Thomas B. "Tom" Saginaw, Michigan Our beloved husband, brother and friend passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2020. He was 69 years old. Thomas Buril Reinke was born in Saginaw on March 5, 1950 to the late Howard Climie and Margaret Jane (Bublitz) Reinke. Tom graduated from Saginaw High School, graduating in 1968. While in school he enjoyed playing many sports including: football and baseball. His love of sports continued into his adult life as he played Men's Fast Pitch Softball where he was a pitcher for many years. He had a love for music and managed a local Saginaw band, The Revised Sound. For the last 30 years, Tom enjoyed operating auctions and estate sales and lastly he owned and operated, Saginaw River Trading Company. Tom met the love of his life, Patricia Ann McMullen and they were married on February 23, 1974. Together they spent 45 years enjoying trips to the casino and playing the slot machines. Tom's daily routine would include a walk at Ojibway Island and feeding the wildlife including the eagles, squirrels, geese and many different birds. His next stop was to the Red Eye Coffee Shop to enjoy some fellowship with his dear friends. At home he would keep all the birds and squirrels well feed, as his parents did before him. Tom is survived by his wife, Pat; his sister, Janet Harkrader; niece, Vicky (Paul) Louks; nephew, Duane (Brenda) Ebach; his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Chatfield; a sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law. He is also survived by many cousins, extended family and dear friends. SERVICE: According to Tom's wishes cremation has taken place. In appreciation of how Tom enjoyed a good visit, his family will be present at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Friday, February 21, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. MEMORIALS: Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Saginaw Rescue Mission.
