Obituary of Kathleen Ann Eisch

Please share a memory of Kathleen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Eisch, Kathleen "Kitty" A. of West Branch and Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Covenant Living of the Great Lakes, Grand Rapids, MI. Kitty was born on March 15, 1939 in Saginaw, Michigan the daughter of Amberson and Genevieve (O'Connor) Driscoll. She was united in marriage to Edward Eisch June 18, 1960 in Saginaw, Michigan; he preceded her in death on June 14, 2017. Kitty worked as a Medical Office Manager for many years in Saginaw and later in West Branch. Kitty enjoyed genealogy, gardening, reading, the Detroit Tigers, playing cards with friends and family and traveling with family. She had a love of all animals, but especially loved cats. She cared for a feral colony in West Branch, making sure they had food, water and shelter and adopted them out to good families when possible. Kitty also enjoyed having campfires near the lake and making s'mores with her grandchildren. She always made sure at any of the family gatherings that the little kids had something to play with to entertain them. Kitty rarely let anyone leave her home without a care package and would do anything for her family and friends. She had strength of character and an innate sense of fairness and integrity and always exhibited quiet grace. More than anything, Kitty loved her family and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. They were the light of her life. She will be dearly missed. Kitty's family wishes to acknowledge the excellent care that she received during the two-and-a-half years that she resided at Covenant Village of the Great Lakes in Grand Rapids. The staff of talented Health Care Aides provided compassionate care, night and day. Their response when she passed made it clear that Kitty's beautiful spirit and loving nature shone through the fog of Alzheimer's and made a lasting impression on them, as well. Kitty is survived by her three children, Catherine (Mark) Beeman, Dorothy (David) Proux, and Edward (Beth) Eisch; six grandchildren: Kyle Beeman, Kathleen "Katie", David "DJ" (Brooke), and Zachary Proux, and Tim and Nick Eisch; great-granddaughter: Hailey Proux; brother, Patrick (Louise) Driscoll; twin sister, Dottie (Richard) Douglas; two sisters-in-law, Mary Eisch and Carol (Bill) Waack; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Kitty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ed and brother, Clare.
