I know the family through daughter Wendy -- an amazing person. She's introduced me to the family and I love it as it reminds me of the chaotic albeit loving and caring family in which I was raised as one of eight kids.
So I've been to their home a lot (thanks Joe and Wendy) and always have a blast and leave with a full stomach.
My most recent outing with JoAnn was to Soaring Eagle to celebrate her birthday with Wendy. No one won anything to speak of, of course, but we had a blast enjoying dinner in the restaurant. Each of us had a giant wet burrito. As small as JoAnn was, she dove into it like a teen-aged boy and came close to devouring it.
She had pure joy on her face and it was wonderful to see and experience. She loved life, her family, her Soaring Eagle and at that moment her giant burrito.
God only knows what trouble she's getting into in heaven but I bet you a wet burrito she's looking for a slot machine and her all-time favorite, a banana split. God bless you JoAnn.
