Obituary of Howard Edward Brown

Brown, Howard E. "Papa" Beloved father, grandfather, and bowling coach passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 14, 2018 at his home. He was 86 years old. Howard E. Brown was born on May 12, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Howard and Catherine (Barnes) Brown. He married the love of his life, Leona Meloche; she preceded him in death on June 6, 1976. He was a member of the Merchant Marine and proud member of the Seafarers Union. Howard enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and working with the children in the after school bowling program at Stardust Lanes. After his grandchildren, the young people he coached through bowling were his greatest joy. He was a proud supporter of World Vision with many trips to South America to visit and encourage all the children he supported. They were all considered his grandchildren in his heart. He will forever be remembered for his tremendous amount of energy, outgoing personality, and his generous nature. Surviving are one son, Michael R. (Felicia) Brown of Saginaw; and three grandchildren: Matthew Brown, David Brown and his girlfriend Alexandra Baudoux, and Katie Brown all of Saginaw. Also surviving are many additional family members in the U.S. and Canada, plus his extend family at Stardust Lanes. Honoring Howard's wishes cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted to the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State).
