Obituary of Sally Redmond

Redmond, Sally (Topham), beloved partner, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018. She was 67 years old. Sally Elizabeth Topham was born April 13, 1950 to the late Hanford R. Jr. and Virginia M. (Culver) Topham. She graduated from St. Mary's High School with the Class of 1968. Sally worked as a dispatcher for the family business, the Yellow Cab Company, until they closed after 142 years in January of 2017. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Surviving her are her loving partner, Dennis Majeski; daughter, Amy Gatza Nyffenegger; grandchildren: Remo, Emily, and Ryan; two sisters and one brother: Penny (Randall) Butterfield, Mary (Jim) Fives, and Chip (Thelma) Topham; nieces and nephews: Monica, H.R. Shannan, Alex, R.J. and Virginia; step-daughter, Mary Redmond; step-grandson, Alex Redmond; and friends: Jo Ann Baumann, Beth (Morrison) Cothern, and Gretchen Barnovitz. She was preceded in death by her parents and partner, James "JR" Rose. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Heartland Hospice and Alicia for their loving care to Sally. SERVICE: A memorial service for Sally will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Pastoral Associate, Sharon Wahl will officiate. Cremation has taken place. VISITATION: Family and friends are welcome to visit at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to the Shannan M.
