Such a shame! She still had a youthful good look about her. I am so, so sorry! Sally, you have left us far too soon.

For all the Tophams who shared life, laughter, a few spankings, wonderful memories and a lot of love with the Lappin sisters -
I only heard how sick Sally was a couple of weeks ago. I know that her passing was a huge relief from her pain but a monumental loss to those she loved and for the people who loved her.
I'll always remember her as a delightful tomboy, a wicked ballplayer, the best swinger I knew (Ok, 12 years of Catholic school, I'm talking about swingsets here) and a friend I could always count on for mischief and giggles. From what I can recall, we were always on the brink (but rarely over) of adventursome behavior that was just shy of parental discipline, bless her. I'm sure she passed that on to her daughter and grandchildren - and that those memories will last forever. Mary Anne's stories of her life with Penny are exactly the same (but my older sister would say hers are better!)
Please accept my condolences for a wonderful person whose life was far too short. I thank her for the joy she brought to my life, and Mary Anne's & Julie's too -

Please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of your loved one, Sally. It breaks our hearts when death separates us from the ones we love so much. The Bible reminds us that God sees our pain and sadness and has promised that soon, "death will be swallowed up forever."(Isaiah 25:8) He will heal our broken hearts by resurrecting our precious loved ones to life again.(John 6:40) Until then, I hope the beautiful memories of Sally and these promises from God comfort you in the days to come.

Fond memories of our old neighborhood in the " good old days!" Also of raising a little hell once in awhile. You & Kitty behave yourselves.

I have more wonderful memories of beautiful Sally than I can count. Some of the best were every Saturday when she would come over to swim. My son Bob, Sally and I would float on rafts in the pool enjoying the sunshine, laughing and relaxing. I also remember when Amy was born and what a fantastic mother she was. My love to all her family!

60 years of friendship to this beautiful, classy, moxie, hilarious soul has so become part of me! EVERY birthday she's called & sang Happy Birthday to me since we were teenagers! I believe she has already been to visit me with a do,do,do! This morning a crucifix I have on a high shelf fell & ended up on the other side of the room. I shall mourn you my Friend for the rest of my days.
