Obituary of Brian Eugene Moody

Passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2016. Age 71. Brian was born in Bay City, MI on April 5, 1945, the son of the late Eugene Moody and Avis (Evans) Moody. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kalamazoo and a former member of Cathedral of Mary of the Assumption in Saginaw. He enjoyed books, music, dancing, cards, Backgammon & Cribbage, socializing with family & friends, talking politics and was an avid Detroit Lions Fan. He was a wonderful cook, who made "The Best" chili. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Carol (Newas) Moody; children, Regan (Tim) Braun and their children, Liam & Fiona, Erin (Taver) Moody-Zoet and their children August & Macklin, Brian Eugene Moody Jr. and Amy Macfarlane and their son, Kellan; sister-in-law, Kathleen Moody; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Craig Moody. MEMORIAL: A Memorial Service will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, September 19, 2016 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Fr. Ronald Wagner will officiate. Cremation has taken place. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Monday, September 19, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
