Obituary of Louis D. Lipar

Lipar, Louis D. Saginaw, Michigan Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Cartwright Hospice Residence. He was 72 years old. Louis D. Lipar was born July 17, 1943 in Cadillac, MI to the Louis Jr. and Dorothy (Carnagan) Lipar. He married Mary M. Payne. She preceded him in death on July 27, 1987. Louis worked for Michigan Carbonic as an accountant, and managed properties in the Saginaw Community for over 20 years. He proudly served his country with the United States Army Reserves. Louis enjoyed traveling to Florida, boating and riding his motorcycle. Music spoke to his heart and he enjoyed Sunday afternoons filled with Willie Nelson. Louis is survived by his children: Kevin L. (Suzanne) Lipar and Sarah (K.C.) Barney; grandchildren, Brady and Mallory Lipar, and Beau Barney; his mother, Dorothy Lipar; and brother, Dale Lipar. Louis was preceded in death by: his wife, Mary; father, Louis Lipar Jr.; and sister-in-law, Joanne Lipar. FUNERAL: A funeral liturgy will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 18, 2016 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 5376 State St., Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Richard A. Bokinskie will officiate. Private burial will take place in Chapel Hill Cemetery. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd., (off State) from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. Louis will lie in state at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.
