Obituary of Josephine Verdusco

VERDUSCO, Josephine "Josie" of Saginaw Township, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at her home. She was 93 years old. Josephine Cepeda was born on January 27, 1922 in Houston, Texas to the late Joseph and Herlinda (Elizalde) Cepeda. Josie worked various occupations throughout her life, was of the Catholic faith, and a volunteer for the Saginaw Commission of Aging. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching football, golf, baseball, and making tortillas. Josie loved going on her bus trips to the different dinner shows and casinos. Left to cherish her memory are her two sons and one daughter: Joseph Verdusco, Carl Verdusco, and Diana (David) Bearss; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren with one on the way; five great-great grandchildren with one on the way; one sister, Alexandra Jaime; special family: Roger & Penny, Miranda, Amanda and Parker Quinnan; and many nieces and nephews. Josie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John and Rudy; daughters-in-law: Anita and Kay. FUNERAL: Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 20, 2015 at St. Joseph Parish, 910 N. 6th Avenue, 48601. Rev. Fr. Francis Voris, OFMCap will officiate. Cremation will follow. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at St. Joseph Parish on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
