Josie was a God-send to me when I needed someone to watch my girls and help me out when I had my third daughter. Not having family in Saginaw, I don't know what I would have done without her. She was so kind and good with children. We have lost touch through the years, but I wanted to share with you how she touched my life.
God bless Josie and all of you at this time.

My special Grandma. One I was not born to, but one I chose. You took a piece of me with you today. You have given me so much, and I am sorry I could never give you that much back. I would not be half the person I am today without you, and I hope my life touches people the way yours has touched my family. I love you. May angels guide you home. Love, your Dolly. Recently one of the most important people in my life has passed away. I will never forget you or the amazing moments we have shared. At 93 years old I am so grateful that I have spent all 20 of mine with you. Thank you for making me homemade tacos, making me laugh, letting me watch old movies with you, or even just blessing me with your presence. I will miss you so incredibly much. Love, your Peanut. Josie was my second Mom. The woman who showed me unconditional love. Who was a Grandmother to my daughters and loved them with all her heart. She has left a whole in our hearts and we will miss her forever. She traveled around the state with us going to games, cheerleading competitions, band camp concerts on Lake Michigan, camping, and was always cheering for those girls. For that and her love I am eternally grateful. I love you my Josie.

Josie was the woman who cared for me and my siblings when we were growing up. Then after we were grown she shared her special love with our own children. She continued to be a very large part of my sister Penny's family's life. Josie was a second mom to me when I was young. I loved her, respected her and will miss her! Rest in peace Josie, you will always be in my heart!. Gerry Ann Sylvester/Sciacca

Josephine was my only sister. We shared Bingo time together, when we lived near each other, we spent time together sharing family dinners, visiting our mother and raising our children. She was a busy woman, working all the time. We worked together packing ice cream at McDonald's ice cream factory. We knew we were loved when we brought home ice cream at the end of the day to our children. We often walked to each others houses for a cup of coffee. My husband, Jesse Jaime, and Josie would always break out in uncontrolled laughter when we were all together. She was a wonderful person to be with and a loving sister.

Aunt Josie will always be jovial memory for me. She laughed as loud as me! I remember the days of living a block away from her. Diane and I shared so much time as children growing up. Then they moved three blocks away and I thought that was too far! Aunt Josie always loved being on the go. Her stories of dancing, casinos, and bus rides were always entertaining. She loved us all, she still does, and all who knew her loved her as well.
