To Father Steve Gavit's family, we send our condolences to you and yours. We remember when "Gus" came to masses at St. Mary's Church in Hemlock, Michigan while Fr. Steve was priest there. We didn't have the privilege of meeting Mr. Gus Gavit, but knowing Father Steve, shows what a great man and father and husband he was to his family. Father Steve is one of the greatest priests' we've ever had the pleasure of meeting and have him as our priest at St. Mary's Church in Hemlock. May Mr. "Gus" rest in peace.
