Pat & Lisa,
We remember your visits to VA VA Beach with your parents when you were little. So much fun though you were a brat Lisa when you kicked sand in your Dad's face! Mike was always nice to us when we came to Michigan--even drove us to the airport from Hale during deer season when no one else would. You have done a terrific job on this obituary and video which
is a great tribute to your Dad. May the Holy Spirit comfort you and give you peace.
Love, Uncle Tony and Aunt Sharron

Mike and I were friends in high school (St. Andrews, class of 1960) then lost contact for about the next 50 years. A few years ago, I was on the classmates.com website and discovered that he was, like me, a "naturalized" yooper, he in Trenary, I in Grand Marais, so I gave him a call. As soon as he realized who it was, he started talking non-stop, and after that we talked on average about once a week, reminiscing about high school, discussing every topic under the sun, including the forbidden ones—religion and politics. From time to time we got together for lunch, usually at the diner in Grand Marais, and several times we got together for dinner on holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving. I think he was kind of lonely and needed somebody to talk to, and I'm really glad now that I was able to be a friend to him in what turned out to be his last years. He did not have an easy life and struggled with a lot of things—alcoholism, which he overcame, Vietnam and its aftermath in his life, a marriage that didn't work out the way he had hoped it would, and so on. When he told me he'd been away from church for quite a while, I encouraged him to go and talk to the priest in Trenary. He did, and was reconciled with the Church.
I'm already missing our many conversations, and am of course praying for the repose of his soul. May his memory be eternal.

Mr. Wisniewski, it was how I addressed you at the Vet Clinic and how I will address you now. Your were a wonderfully kind man and we always looked forward to your visits with your best fur friends Breezy and Sassy. I wish I would of listened to you and got that pass at the gym. You are safe and pain free and the pet's who passed before you have undoubtedly found you and are bounding with happiness. RIP kind man, sending prayers to your family during this trying time,
