I remember the very first Tiger base ball game I attended. 1968 or 69, Uncle Virg took me down on a tour bus. Soda and hot dogs! I remember him waiting in line with me to purchase an official Major Leauge Baseball, he let me open the box and remove the sacred ball from the tissue paper, he then stood patiently in line while I attempted to get it autographed. I still have the ball, signed by Dick Mcaullif and Gates Brown. I think of him every year when spring training starts and will so for the rest of my life. He was a great man and wonderful person to be around. I am sure right now that the sun is shining, he is sitting in the stands and his Tigers always make the World Series.
