Bradford “Brad” G. Root passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Select Medical in Saginaw. He was born on September 27, 1958 in Saginaw, Michigan. Brad graduated from Saginaw High School in 1976. On July 25, 1997, he married the love of his life, Terri Quaal Jackson. Brad was employed with IGA for 5 years, then moved into working in construction. He was also employed with Ultimate Exteriors for nearly 20 years.
Brad enjoyed attending concerts, and loved the thrill of amusement parks. He was a lover of anything outdoors, including traveling with Terri, especially trips to Cedar Creek Farm. Brad was an avid reader and, above all, loved spending time with his beloved friends and family.
Brad is survived by his wife, Terri Root; daughter: Jamie (Matt) Walderzak; grandchildren: Michael Gutierrez Jr., Rhea and Ellie Walderzak; Sisters-in-law Linda Quaal, and Joette (Frank) Doozan; dear friends Tracey Bridges and “Big Dave” Launstein; and many aunts, uncles and extended family.
Brad was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie William and Arlette Root; and an infant brother, Rodney Root.
SERVICE: A memorial visitation will be held at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Road (off State) on Saturday November 23, 2024 from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 pm with cremation to follow.
