Obituary of Michael Charles Shea
Michael Charles Shea, a man of deep faith and an unwavering source of strength, love, and wisdom for his family, passed away suddenly in Winter Garden, Florida, on September 16, 2024. Born in Saginaw, Michigan, on January 29, 1947, to William and Cecilia (DePrekel) Shea, Mike grew up in a vibrant and loving family. He was preceded in death by his wife Ann Shea, his parents and his brother, Timothy.
On February 3, 1973, Mike married Ann Shea. Their love story transcended time, anchored in their Catholic faith, shared respect, and a lasting love that fostered a warm and inviting home for all who crossed their path. Together, they brought four amazing children into this world: William Shea (Tara), Kelly Brady (Michael), Megan Tousignant (Andre), and Kevin Shea (Cheryl). The joy of Mike’s life was undeniably his eleven grandchildren: Patrick, Raegan, and Delaney Shea, Cian, Quinn, and Nyah McGill, Shea, Liam and McKenna Brady, Kylie and Landon Tousignant. Whether it was a shared joke, watching a Detroit Lions Football game , or a heart-to-heart conversation over a bowl of ice cream, every moment spent with his grandchildren was a treasure to Mike. He leaves behind a legacy of love and faith that will continue to thrive in his grandchildren.
Mike leaves behind his cherished sisters, Patricia (John) Holys and Colleen (Michael) O'Donnell. Their shared laughter, love, and strong family bonds have created an enduring memory of joy and unity.
A dedicated father, a proud grandfather, and a devoted husband, Mike’s life was filled with laughter and love. His character, faith and love for family will carry on, allowing his memory to fill the homes and hearts of his loved ones with humor and commitment to family.
