Loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend passed away on Wednesday afternoon, June 26, 2024 at Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw. She was 65 years old. Toni Anne Dukes was born on November 26, 1958 in San Diego, California to Anthony and Lucy (Reyes) Dukes. She married Jose Espinosa Sr. in 2003 in Saginaw, Michigan. Toni was employed by Shattuck Manor as a Certified Nurses Aide, retiring after 30 years of service. Toni was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church for many years.

She loved cooking and listening to music. Toni also enjoyed crocheting. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, Jose Espinosa Sr.; children, Fredrick (Victoria) Dukes, Jose (Perscilla) Espinosa Jr., and Marisela (Frankie) Short; grandchildren, Jose Espinosa II, Santana Fritz, Antonio Espinosa, Alex Short, Mariano Dukes, Miguel Espinosa, Cecilia Dukes, Caezar Short, Andres Guerra, Jennvecia Dukes, Gabriella Short, Fredrick Dukes II, Jordan Short, Elijah Espinosa and extended family and friends.

Toni was preceded in death by her mother, Lucy Dukes.

GATHERING: Family and friends will gather at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
