Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend passed away peacefully on June 24, 2024 at Aperion Care of Peru. She was 89 years old. Barbara Jean Bigger was born on May 28, 1935 to the late Ulysses Grant and Ruth Bernice Bigger. She married James Earl Tubb Sr. and together they had four children: James Jr., Mark, Robert, and Jean Ann. On October 30, 1965 Barb married Daniel Stolte, and he brought to their marriage Janet, Dan, Jerry, Shirley and Patti. Their blended family grew from nine to eleven, with the births of two sons, David and John Stolte. She loved all of their children and grandchildren dearly, and served her community with her giving spirit as a Registered Nurse. Barb could often be found baking, and sometimes forgetting a needed ingredient. Teaching her young grandchildren to appreciate a good cup of coffee and allowing them to play dress up with the best jewelry and high heels. Her home was always open for her family and she made the holidays beautiful and memorable for her whole family that she loved so dearly.

Barb is survived by her sons: James Earl Jr. (Pamela) Tubb, Mark (Linda) Tubb, David Stolte and Dan Stolte; daughters: Shirley Ragsdale and Patti Stolte; daughter-in-law, Deb Tubb; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister, Norma Meacham; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; sons: Robert Lee Tubb, John Stolte and Jerry Stolte; daughters: Jean Ann Tubb and Janet McCormick-Trudell; sisters: Betty Dorn and Ruth Firman; brothers: Warren and Wallace Bigger.

SERVICE: A service for Barbara will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, 7475 E Holland Rd, Saginaw, MI 48601. Pastor Rick Milks will officiate with burial to follow. Family and friends are welcome to gather at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy in Barb’s memory may consider a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
