Our loving mother, daughter, sister and aunt passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 9, 2024. She was 48 years old. Michelle Marie Najar was born on December 28, 1975 in Saginaw to Jesusita (Cerda) Najar and the late Xavier Najar. She attended Buena Vista High School, and worked throughout the Saginaw community. Michelle’s top priority was always caring for her family regardless of what was going on in her life. Wakalou, her beloved cat, was a constant companion and topic of conversation. Michelle’s determined personality showed through while trying to beat the next level of Candy Crush and listening to her favorite artist, Chris Cornell. 

Michelle is survived by her beloved cat, Wakalou; her children: Christina M. (Isiah Paige) Najar and Michael Seeley; her mother, Jesusita Najar; her three brothers: Raymond Cerda, Mark (Rebecca) Najar and Xavier Najar Jr.; and her niece and nephew: Maricella and Mark Najar. She is also survived by many extended family and dear friends.

Michelle was preceded in death by her father, Xavier Najar; her grandparents: Joe and Otilia Cerda and Aunt Bea Salcedo.

SERVICE: In keeping with Michelle’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A service to celebrate Michelle’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2024 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State), Saginaw, MI 48603. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
