Robert J. Brandi

Saginaw, Michigan

After a brave battle with cancer, Robert J Brandi, Sr. passed away June 6th 2024 at his home with loved ones. Robert was born August 22, 1956 to the late Robert D and Betty J Brandi. He attended Carrollton High School until his enlistment into the United States Marines Corps in 1972. During his enlistment, he earned the rank of Corporal and his high school diploma at Kubasaki High School in Okinawa, Japan. When Rob returned stateside, he was stationed at Quantico, VA working in Administration. There he met his late wife and fellow Marine, Debra Stone. The two married January 20th, 1979 and were married for 35 years before Deb’s passing in 2014.

Robert was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps August, 1980 and, with his family, moved to Saginaw, MI. There they raised two children, Carole Jean and Robert, Jr. Rob was actively involved in his children’s schooling, acting as a basketball coach and athletic director, he was an usher at his parish, and was a member of many other community organizations.

Rob held many titles in his career including several management positions, as a machinist at B&K Corp, and most recently as a member of maintenance staff at North Saginaw Charter Academy until his illness. He frequently spent time woodworking in his garage and made many gifts for family and friends. He was a devoted sports fan, watching and attending as many games as he could of his beloved Detroit Tigers and Lions, and Michigan Wolverines.

Survived by his sisters, Susan and Nancy Brandi, sisters-in-law Pat Brandi and Barbara Stone, his children Carole (Bill) Creller; Saginaw, and Robert (Amanda) Brandi, Jr., and four grandchildren Spencer [Eve] and William Creller, and Lilian and Remington Brandi, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
