Obituary of Fari Hamidi-Shokoohi

Fari Hamidi-Shokoohi of Saginaw Michigan, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on February 4, 1924 in Tehran, Iran. She was married to her late husband, Colonel M. Kayvan Shokoohi for more than 60 years. Throughout her amazing life, she brought joy and love to everyone around her. Fari was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who cherished her family above all else. She enjoyed traveling, reading, sewing, and calling her friends all around the world. Her passion for family was infectious, and she touched the lives of many through her kind donations.

She is survived by her children: Farah, Farhad (Kathy), Frough, and Kamran Shokoohi, six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Sunday May 19, 2024 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Deisler Funeral home, 2233 Hemmeter Road, Saginaw. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital. Fari will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will forever live in our hearts.
