Obituary of Dolores Negrete
Negrete, Dolores, of Saginaw, Michigan. Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, Tia and friend, gained her wings on Friday, May 10, 2024 at Symphony Tri-Cities with her family by her side. Dolores was born on November 16, ???? in Indian Town, Michigan the daughter of the late Timoteo and Paulina (Belman) Acosta. Dolores was united in marriage to the love of her life Richard Negrete on August 1966; he preceded her in death in 2003.
Dolores worked as a counselor-mentor for Saginaw County for more than 25 years. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Church. Dolores enjoyed cooking and baking for all her family and friends. She also enjoyed stained glass, sewing, collectibles, shopping and had a love for shoes, special make-up and reading. She loved to watch her novelas.
Dolores is survived by her children; Danielle Negrete and Monica (Alvin) Benavides, fur baby; Buster Brown, grandchildren; Alexandria “Alliette” (D’Vario) Isom, Timothy “Bebe” Timo-Negrete, Baby Quentin, Ciara (Kyle) Loftus and Gianna “Gigi” Ramirez, great-grandchildren; Marcello “Papa”, Gabriella “Princess”, D’Vario Jr. “Little Papa”, Ana’Lea “Chocolate girl” and London “Boo Boo”, partner of 18 years; Antonio Mata, godson; Rene Vallejo Black, brother in-law; Manuel (Pina) Negrete , special sister in-laws; Virginia and Juanita Acosta, special nieces and nephews; Lizzy, Lori, Sandy-Love, Angelina (Noe), Nena (Javier) Jackie O, Yolanda, Denise, Lorraine, Jewel, Oli., Whopper, Critter, Arlando, Jr, Manuelito, Carlitos, Paquito and Eliot, dearest friend/sister of over 54 years; Doris (John) Stammers, special friends; Paula Vallejo, Delores Ornelas, lottery partner, Joe Welch,Susan McGraw, Dolores Castillo and Gavino De La Vega and many additional nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, Dolores was preceded in death by a son, Martin Negrete and great-grandson; D’mariono Isom. 5 siblings; Albert, Ruben, Soccorro, Frank, and Henry.
FUNERAL: A Funeral Liturgy for Dolores will take place on Friday, May 17, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Joseph Catholic Church, 910 N. 6th St. Saginaw, MI 48601 with Fr. Frank Voris to officiate.
VISITATION: Family and friends are welcome to gather on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. Saginaw, MI 48603 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. where a Vigil for the Deceased will take place at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
