Hammis, Patricia A.

Lakeview, Michigan

Formerly of Saginaw, Michigan

Patricia passed away peacefully Friday, February 16, 2024 with family at her side; she was 91 years old. Patricia was born June 2, 1932 in Zilwaukee, Michigan the daughter of Cornelius and Leona (Meehleder) Manor. She was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart Keith Hammis on May 10, 1952 in Zilwaukee, MI; he preceded her in death on December 7, 2018.

Patricia was a member of St. Dominic Parish in Saginaw and Christ the King-St.Francis de Sales Parish in Lakeview, Michigan. She will always be remembered for her strong faith; and made sure to share her faith with her family. Patricia enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing solitaire, rides on the pontoon around Townline Lake and watching her birds. But most of all she loved spending time with her family and the large family meals; everyone was always welcomed to her table. The grandchildren will always remember bringing their friends to grandma and grandpa’s house to show them what our family gatherings looked like.

Our family would like to give a special “Thank you” to Jeanne for her faithful love and care of mom. Jeanne, Ed and mom were the 3 Musketeers who spent countless hours together. Also, a special “Thank you” to Hospice of Michigan for their wonderful care.

Patricia is survived by her children; Regina (Edward) Napierala, Debra (Robert) Cherry, Pamela (Daniel) Wolpert, Marcia (Michael) Wolohan, Keith (Connie) Hammis, Michael (Lori) Hammis and Vicky Hammis, 21 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren 2 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister Marjorie Schrems.
