Obituary of Virginia B. Hausbeck

Hausbeck, Virginia Bernadene, 101 years old, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Shattack Manor, Saginaw, MI. The daughter of the late Fred and Martha (Rutherford) Sommers was born October 15, 1922 in Saginaw, MI. She was united in marriage to Gerald G. Hausbeck on October 20, 1956; he preceded her in death on November 27, 2004. Bernadene worked as an accountant; retiring in 1990. She loved music, reading, traveling and being with her family and friends.

Bernadene is survived by a brother in-law; Floyd Hausbeck of Saginaw, several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; and many dear friends on Rose Cottage Lane. Besides her parents and husband, Bernadene was predeceased by her sisters; Winnie Balazer and  Barb Hausbeck; brother; Earl Sommers and brother in-law; Leonard Balazer.

FUNERAL: Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 1, 2023 from Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Rd. Saginaw, MI  48609. Rev. Fr. Peter J. Gaspeny to officiate. Private entombment will take place in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

VISITATION: Family and friends are welcome to call at the church Friday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
