Patricia J. Alcorn of James Township, Michigan passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, August 11, 2023. She was 82 years old. Patricia Jo Sands was born on July 18, 1941 in Saginaw to the late William and Wilma (Perrin) Sands. Pat graduated from Arthur Hill High School, Class of 1959. She married her high school sweetheart, David "Dave" L. Alcorn on June 11, 1960, and he preceded her in death on January 4, 2015. Pat worked for many years at Michigan Bell/At&T and retired in 1994. One of her favorite joys was driving her Corvette, and per her request Dave repainted it many times. During Pat’s retirement she loved to read, spend time with her grandchildren and her beloved dog, Tucker.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Brad (Denise) Alcorn; daughter, Gretchen (Scott) Newman; five grandchildren: Kelly, Ashley, Nicholas (Christal), Daniel, and Becca (Josh); five great-grandchildren: Addison, Wyatt, Hunter, Madeline and Blair; sister, Judy (Michael) Gorthy; brother, Butch (Helga) Irish and extended family members and many friends. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dave; and her brother, William Robert Sands.

Pat loved the neighborhood that her and Dave had built their life and raised their family. The friendships and memories that were created and shared will forever be cherished.

FUNERAL: Funeral Services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Deacon Jeff Rauschert will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

VISITATION: Friends and family are welcome to visit at the funeral home on Tuesday 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
