Passed away with his family by his side on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw, he was 88 years old. Charles Anthony Mott was born on May 28, 1935 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late William and Margaret (Bahem) Mott. He married Barbara Jean Weigold in October of 1956. Charles proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was employed by Gase Bakery, retiring after 42 years of service.
Charles loved traveling with his wife Barbara and going out to dinner. He also enjoyed hunting and thrift store shopping. But, what Charles loved most was spending time with his children, especially his grandchildren. He will be remembered as always being willing to help others.
Surviving are one son, Brad (Tina) Mott; grandchildren, Cassidy and Ian Mott-Chinevere, Tyler (Leslie) Sullivan and Brandon (Shelby) Sullivan; great-grandchildren, Rylynn Sullivan, Ansley Sullivan, Kinsley Sullivan, and Bently Sullivan; siblings, Jim (Betty) Mott and John Mott; sister in-law, Betty Mott; special friends that became family, Mike Stutzman and Melissa Chinevere, and many nieces and nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Barbara Jean Mott; one brother, William Mott, and sister in-law, Marion Mott.
FUNERAL SERVICE: A Funeral Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 7, 2023 at Deisler Funeral Home. Kristine Braun will officiate. A Committal service will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Military Honors will be conducted under the auspices of the United States Air Force and American Legion Post # 22.
VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Monday, August 7, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
MEMORIALS: Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Disabled Veterans of America.
