Roberto Rosales, a very loved man, went home to be with God on Sunday, July 30, 2023; he was 66 years old. He died at University Hospital in Ann Arbor, surrounded by the love of his wife and children, from an aggressive battle with cancer.
Roberto Rosales was born on June 3, 1957 in Saginaw, MI to the late Daniel E. Rosales and Lucy (Juarez) Rosales. He married Teresa (Barajas) on November 18, 1978; they met in high school. He was baptized, made his first communion at St. Joseph Catholic Church, and married at Holy Family Catholic Church. He was also a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Saginaw.
Roberto enjoyed working on his 1969 Chevelle, discussing and watching sports, and reading. He also enjoyed fishing and traveling. Most of all, Roberto loved spending time with his family.
Surviving is his wife, Teresa; children: Stephanie Rosales (Orlando Crump), Roberto Rosales II, Staci Rosales (Dan Wortman), Renee Rosales (Steve Chmielewski), Adam Rosales (Elizabeth), and Daniel Rosales; grandchildren: Roberto III, Santino, Michael, Isiah, Marissa, Jerimiah, Eli, Lunden, Joziah, Camilla, Gianna, and Azariana; great-grandchildren: Nicole and Gustavo; siblings, Daniel Rosales (Colleen), Eva Rosales, Christina Rosales, and Rosemary Rosales (Larry Doyle); brothers in-law, Manuel N. (Diane) Barajas and Ruben (Lisa) Barajas; sister in-law Rosa Barajas-Sausedo and many nieces and nephews; a close uncle and aunt, Arturo and Minerva Rosales; and a special cousin, Bob Cerda.
FUNERAL SERVICE: A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 5, 2023, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 5376 State Street, Saginaw, MI 48603. Rev. Fr. Steven M. Gavit will officiate. A committal service will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Saginaw.
VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State Street) Friday, August 4, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A vigil service and rosary will occur at the funeral home on Friday at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
