Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend passed away unexpectedly at her home Friday July 7^th, 2023. She was only 67 years old. Janet M. Steele was born May 7^th, 1956, to the late Cecil and Goldie (Schnieder) Steele. She graduated from Arthur Hill high school in 1975. Janet managed Linens & More and Tractor Supply for over 12 years then moving on to Nexteer automotive until her recent retirement in June 2022.

Janet loved animals and rescued many throughout her life. Especially, her little man Jasper. She loved going on trips, hiking, spending time with her family, retreats with her many dear friends, and her adventures with her sisters who were more like best friends. Janet was a loving grandma to her grandchildren and always excited to show up and cheer them on. Janet loved with her entire heart and everyone who knew her felt it. She was always willing to lend a hand, make you laugh and captivate you with her most beautiful smile.

Janet is survived by her daughter Jodi (Stacy) Collier Hodges, grandchildren Jess Krabill, Delano Rivera, Dru Collier and Dakoda Dhaene, a great grandson Tobias Krabill, four sisters and two brothers Kathryn Steele, Tim (Elda) Steele, Michael (Tina) Steele, Donna Steele, Marilyn Steele, Sally (Randy) Burke, many nieces, nephews, extended family, and many great friends.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, her only son Chad Collier, sister Patrica A. Gradowski, brothers Joseph Steele and John Patrick Steele.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: In keeping Janet's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 14, 2023 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. Saginaw, MI 48603. Family and friends are welcome to visit at the funeral home on Friday, July 14, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
