Dad I miss you so much. You were the one who took care of everyone. Your love for Mom was strong and never wavered. You made hard decisions for the best of all the family.

I have some very fond memories of my great Uncle Ronny. While I did not know him super well, I remember him helping my dad (Jeff Finkbeiner) with the construction of his house. I remember being in awe of his carpentry skills. I remember attending his and Aunt Mabel's anniversary celebration dinner in Frankenmuth. I remember the times he would swing by in his truck to say hi at my parent's home. I remember him joking with my grandpa (Roger Finkbeiner). In all these memories, I think of Uncle Ronny as an incredibly kind, soft-spoken, and sweet man. He was a great and special person, who will be very missed.

Our family has a tradition to name the trees that have been given to us over the years after the person who gifted us with them. In 2002, Uncle Ronny gave us a maple sapling from his small woodlot. Today, it is a beautiful tree in our front yard. Dad and Uncle Ronny were instrumental in helping us build our house. It is true, having just a string, after square, hammer and skill saw, Uncle Ronny could build a complete house! As a boy, high schooler, and young man, there were 3 men that I wanted to be like: my Dad, Uncle Harold and Uncle Ronny. Uncle Ronny was a groomsman in our wedding. Myself and my family have many fond memories and I had many great conversations with Uncle Ronny. Our deepest sympathies to Doug, Kathy and the entire family. Rest in Peace, Uncle Ronny.
