Obituary of Agnes Marie Bush
Bush, Agnes Marie “Agie”
Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away, Wednesday evening, February, 22, 2023 at Brian’s House in Essexville. She was 88 years old. Agie was born and raised in Reese, daughter of the late Charles and Catherine (Stratmann) Schulte. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Reese High School. While playing Euchre one night, Agie met Orville Bush. After a quick-witted exchange and six weeks later, they began planning their wedding. The two were married November 3, 1956 and were together 56 years until Orville’s death in 2012. Agie worked for St. Luke’s Hospital as nursing coordinator until retiring after 40 years. She was a very spirited woman who loved to have fun. Agie and Orville enjoyed traveling in their motor home across Michigan especially near Traverse City. She also enjoyed playing golf and playing the slots at various casinos. Agie was a tremendous woman of faith and always made sure to watch Mass and pray the Rosary every day. She was an active member of St. Dominic Catholic Parish where she was a member of the choir and made many friends.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Kenneth (Gwen) Bush, Linda Fox, and Anthony Bush; grandchildren, Kristopher Hansen and Wendy (Alex) Staudacher; brother Joseph Schulte; special niece Mary Catherine Sabias; as well as many other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Agie was preceded in death by her grandson Jonathon Pepera; son-in-law Robert Fox; three sisters; and two brothers.
FUNERAL: The Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 2, 2023 at St. Dominic Catholic Parish (St. Stephen), 1310 Malzhan St. Father Steve Gavit will officiate with private family burial to take place in St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Reese.
VISITATION: Agie’s family will receive visitors at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State St.) on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the Liturgy.
