Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and dear friend passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, December 15, 2022. He was 93 years old. Arturo Lopez was born on July 18, 1929 in Austin, Texas to the late Arturo and Alvina (Escobar) Lopez. Arturo moved to Lansing, in his early 20’s. Together they have celebrated 70 wonderful years together. Arturo was drafted into the United States Army and honorably served his country during the Koren War. Following his service with the Army, Arturo and Margarita moved to Saginaw, started their family and he worked at General Motors. Arturo retired from Grey Iron Foundry. Arturo loved to watch sports including the Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers and any sports his family played.
