Our father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, November 15, 2022 at his residence. He was 75 years old. Kenneth Richard Caldwell was born on July 2, 1947 in South Lyon, Michigan to the late Estel and Margaret (Balden) Caldwell. He married Margaret Ann Metiva in 1971 at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Zilwaukee. She preceded him in death on January 29, 2022. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Together with his wife Margaret, they owned and operated Kens Sewing Center in Saginaw, retiring after several years. He was a member of the Moose Club for many years.

Ken loved golfing, bowling, fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed watching TV and going camping. But, what Ken really loved most was spending time with his family playing Euchre.

Surviving are his children, Bonnie Ritchie, Kevin Caldwell and Laurie (Ennix) Buchanan; grandchildren, Jordan, Clarissa, Emontre, Moneek, Jaylen, Aniyah and a special adopted granddaughter, Gabrielle Genwright; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Bertha Sterling,  Roger (Ruthann) Caldwell, Lyla (Charlie) Fabbro, Brenda Roszkowsi, Debbie (Bill) Jones, Joyce Auenhammer, Mike Day and many nieces and nephews.

Ken was preceded in death by his son, Allan Gross; granddaughter, Krista Gross; siblings, Susanna Bentley, Carol Ingle, Judy Hopper, Richard Day; step-parents, Earl Day and Vera Caldwell many brothers and sisters in-law but five special ones, Bill Metiva, Stan Metiva, Norm Metiva, Joyce Metiva and Edna Menzl.

FUNERAL SERVICE: A Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Bill L. Bodnar will officiate. Committal service to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Saginaw. Military Honors will be conducted at the cemetery under the auspices of the United States Army and American Legion Post # 439.

VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Monday, November 21, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m.

MEMORIALS: Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the wishes of the family c/o Laurie Buchanan.
