Patricia Ann (Pegley Kent) Nellett

Saginaw, Michigan

Patricia’s life was dedicated to her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, November 16, 2022 with her family by her side.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Vickie (Paul) Muehlenbeck, Mary (John) Sullivan, and Jerry P. (Tracie) Kent. Son in-law, Steve Elvin. Her grandchildren, Paul Muehlenbeck Jr., Ted (April) LaCroix, Alabama, Stephanie (Adam) Elliott, Arizona, John (Bonnie) Sullivan, Lisa Hall, Jason (Ashley) Hall, Theresa Kent, and Rex Yancer. She is also survived by 23 great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.

Patricia was born in 1930 in Saginaw, Michigan to Charles and Anna Pegley, she was the youngest of 8 children. Pat graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1948. She married Jerry R. Kent on October 28, 1950 and together they owned and operated Kent Drug Store in Saginaw. In 1977, she lost the love of her life, Jerry at the young age of 47. Patricia married Cam Nellett in 1991 and they shared 11 years together before he passed away in 2002.

Pat was an avid bowler and she enjoyed euchre, bingo, and most importantly her 60 years with her ladies card club.

She was a loyal Detroit Tigers Fan and loved the University of Michigan. She attended her first game at the Big House in 1948 and travelled to Pasadena to a Rose Bowl game.

Pat was the life of any party she attended and had a wonderful sense of humor until the end.

Her most cherished memories came from time spent with her family.

Patricia was a member of the Catholic Faith.

She was predeceased by her parents and her four brothers: Charles, Edward, William and Raymond; three sisters: Alfreda Johnson, Minnie Ott and Florence Krueger. Also, one loving daughter, Lori Hall Elvin.

Patricia’s family would like to thank the staff at Edgewood Assisted Living for their wonderful care, especially Nakita, her very special friend. The family is forever grateful for the compassionate care she received from Cardinal Hospice, especially Carmen, Lisa, Markey, Hope and Kate.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: A Memorial Service will take place at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Road (off State). Sharon Wahl will officiate. 

VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Sunday, November 20, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m.

MEMORIALS: Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Edgewood Assisted Living Center or Cardinal Hospice.
