Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt passed away with her family by her side on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at her residence. She was 85 years old. Emma Jean Pryor was born on January 25, 1937 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Alfred and Ella (Thomas) Pryor. She married Gerald Raymond Smith on March 20, 1959. He preceded her in death on May 5, 2017. Emma was employed by Lufkin Rule and was a member of TOPS for many years.

Emma loved camping, fishing, and traveling. She also enjoyed working on puzzles. But, what Emma really loved most was spending time with her family around a bonfire.

Surviving are her children, Gerald Jr. (Brenda) Smith, Michael Smith, Timothy (Kathy) Smith, and Kellie (Charles) Bell; grandchildren, Gerald R. Smith III, Kassie (Shane) Bauer, Kayme (Rick) Napora, Kyle Smith, Tabyas Smith and Jessica Bell; 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Emma was preceded in death by her grandson, Timothy Smith; siblings; James Pryor, Jack Pryor and Alfred Pryor.

FUNERAL SERVICE: A Funeral Service will take place at 12:00 p.m. Monday, October 31, 2022 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Road (off State). Chaplain Viola Gonzales will officiate. Committal service to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Sunday, October 30, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
