Passed away Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Wellspring – Senior Living Campus, surrounded by her loving family. She was 86 years old. Mary Green was born on February 14, 1936 in Saginaw to the late John Richard and Margaret (Jones) Green. She graduated from St. Mary High School and married her high school sweetheart, James D. LeFevre Sr. on February 11, 1956 at St. Mary Cathedral. He preceded her in death on September 26, 1988. Mary was the office manager for her husband, Jim at LeFevre Insurance Agency, and then Duclos Insurance Agency. She was a faithful and lifetime member of the Cathedral of Mary of the Assumption Parish. Mary had a wonderful sense of style, loved to golf and bowl, traveling and making many wonderful memories with her family, especially her sisters.
Mary is survived by her daughter: Katie (Brian) Nichols; three sons: James D. Jr. (Theresa G.) LeFevre, John R. (Jennifer T.) LeFevre and Robert A. (Jennifer M.) LeFevre; grandchildren: Rhianne (Dylan) Christopher, Sara (Michael) Wilson, Nichole (Kyle) Leemon, Brooke (Nathan) Kilgore, Matthew (Jessica) LeFevre, Michelle (Craig) Dombrowski, Baleigh Nichols, Madeline LeFevre, Milo LeFevre and Davis LeFevre; great-grandchildren: Samuel, Henry, Lee, Peter, Malcolm, Ewa, and Cary; sister, Kathleen Bauman; sisters-in-law, Ruthann McPhillips, Sandra LeFevre and Kay LeFevre; many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; special friend, Donald Cruson; siblings: Leslie Schreiber, Jackie Ward and Michael Green.
SERVICE: A funeral liturgy for Mary will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at the Cathedral of Mary of the Assumption Parish of Saginaw, 615 Hoyt Ave., Saginaw, MI 48601. Rev. Fr. Thomas J. McNamara will officiate with burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Monday, October 17, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 7:00 p.m. Mary will lie in state at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass
