Obituary of Harry Ray Vitek

Beloved father and brother passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at his residence. He was 84 years old. Harry Ray Vitek was born on January 13, 1938 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Joseph and Margory (Spendlove) Vitek. He married Jerry Ray Donnenwerth December 7, 1970 in Saginaw. She preceded him in death on April 26, 2018. Harry attended Delta College and earned a degree in Engineering. He was employed by General Motors as a Mechanical Engineer, retiring after 50 years of service. Harry was a member of the Saginaw Valley Railroad Museum and the Saginaw Field and Stream Club.

Harry loved golfing and fishing. He was an avid model railroader and spent time at the railroad museum working on the locomotives and rolling stock.

Surviving are two daughters, Kristina Gunderson and Debra Gardner; grandchildren, Jordin (Marcus) Kapp, Masen Gunderson, Lisa Gardner, Lori Gardner and Lexi Gardner; one brother, Thomas Vitek; mother of his daughter, Jeraldine Vitek and many nieces and nephews.

Harry was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Vitek.

In keeping with Harry’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There are no services planned at this time.
