Obituary of Mary Jimenez
Jimenez, Mary passed away early Saturday morning, July 9, 2022 at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital. Mary was born of March 25, 1940 the daughter of Ausencio and Simona (Cerda) Martinez Sr. She attended St. Joseph High school and graduated in 1959. Mary was united in marriage to Benito G. Jimenez on June 17, 1961 in Saginaw, Michigan; he survives her. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mary enjoyed watching her soap operas, and her favorite football team; the Dallas Cowboys, playing bingo and cooking for her family. But most of all Mary loved spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 61 years; Benito G. Sr., four children; Benito Jimenez Jr., MaryLou (Ronald) Rosales, Angela (Alejandro) Martinez and Rosario Bill (Marylou) Jimenez, grandchildren; Jessica Jimenez, Chelsea (Adrian) Beltran, Alejandro Rey Martinez, Migael Rosales, Ronald Rosales Jr., Rosaria Jimenez and Mercedes Jimenez, great-grandchildren; Juan Saul Casillas Jr., Angelo Cash Casillas, Aliyah Michelle Banks, Donovin R. Herrera, baby Beltran, Lauren, Migael, Anthony, Marcela and Levi Rosales and Choo Choo Bear, four sisters, one brother and special nieces and nephews; Delfina Rodriguez, Aida Perez, Vivian Johnson, Rueben Rivera, Pauline Ovalle and Cruz Rodriguez. Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by a grandson, Rueben Jimenez Rosales, ten brothers and sisters, nephews, Eduardo Rodriguez and Reynaldo Rodriguez and her k9 buddy and companion, Peewee.
FUNERAL: A Funeral Mass for Mary will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 15, 2022 from St. Joseph Catholic Church, 910 N. 6th Ave. Saginaw, MI 48601. Rev. Fr. Thai H. Nguyen to officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. Saginaw, MI 48603 on Thursday, July 14, 2022 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM. A Vigil for Mary will take place at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue at St. Joseph’s Church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
