Obituary of Dale Lyle Midcalf

Midcalf, Dale Lyle, age 78 passed away Tuesday evening, July 5, 2022 with his family by his side. Dale was born March 24, 1944 in Saginaw, Michigan the son of Walter and Florence (Rux) Midcalf. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1963. Dale was united in marriage to the former Kay Hadden at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Saginaw, Michigan on February 27, 1965; she survives him. Dale enjoyed NASCAR racing, wood working, upholstery work and going to the casino. But most of all he loved spending time with his family; especially his grandchildren.

Dale is survived by his loving wife of 57 years; Kay, his three daughters; Julie (Brian) Light, Jodi (Eric Neumann) Midcalf and Jill (Wade) Lyvere, seven grandchildren; Sherry and Brian Light, Samantha and Kalynn Gulliver, Jessica Wasalaski, Joseph Slaybaugh and Michael Lyvere, six great-grandchildren; Kaiden, Jenson, Scarlett, Ryliegh, Hunter and Isabella and a brother, Leon Koeplinger. Besides his parents, Dale was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters; Cora, Joan, Judy, Joyce, Robert, Walter and Geraldine.

FUNERAL: In keeping with Dales wishes cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service is being planned for Monday, July 11, 2022 at 10:00 AM from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1020 Court St. Saginaw, MI 48602. Pastor Julius Buelow to officiate.

VISITATION: Family and friends are welcome to gather at the church on Monday from 9:00 AM until the time of services.
