Delgado, Delia S.

Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend was called to her heavenly home on Thursday, March 10, 2022 where she was reunited with her loving husband. She was 63 years old. Delia Serrato Ledesma was born on June 2, 1958 in Adrian, Michigan to the late Martin G. and Josephine (Serrato) Ledesma. She married Jose N. Delgado Sr. on August 3, 1985. He preceded her in death on January 24, 2022. Delia worked at various places throughout her life and retired in July of 2020. She was a faithful member of Cathedral of Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church for many years.

Delia loved to travel to Kalamazoo to visit her favorite sister, Sophie, take trips to the casino and go out to eat. She also enjoyed spending time in her yard doing yardwork. She will be remembered for having a green thumb and growing beautiful plants and flowers. Delia was a wonderful cook and enjoyed entertaining friends and family. She loved her dogs Chu Chu and Olaf very much. Delia could always be found holding her favorite fountain drink, a Coca-Cola with extra ice. But, what she really loved most was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are her children, Jose “Pudge” Delgado Jr., Bobby (Angela) Delgado, Daniel (Sophia) Delgado and Joshua “Jay” (Elicia) Delgado; grandchildren, Anthony Delgado, Alexus Delgado, Noah Delgado, Joseph Delgado, Angel Delgado, Nia Delgado, Jacob Delgado, Jayce Delgado, Cruz Delgado, Aliyah Delgado, Bobby Delgado, Jay Delgado and Eli Delgado; special granddaughter, Brianna Delgado; siblings, Esmeralda Barrera, Sophie (Nicholas) Amador and Sylvia Ledesma; a special uncle, Evelio Ledesma; special cousins, Vicky Bolander and Nicky Esquivel; special friends, Dora Cansino, Joann Pierson, Anita Cobb, Dorlynn Sandoval, Geanie Espinoza, Josepha Gomez, Maria Rodriguez, Rebecca Garth-Townsend and many nieces and nephews.

Delia was preceded in death by her siblings, Martin Ledesma Jr and Yolanda Villarreal.
