Obituary of Josephine Mary Vega

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away peacefully Friday, January 28, 2022 with her family surrounding her. Josephine was born January 21, 1938 in Saginaw, Michigan the second youngest of ten children; daughter of Suetiornino and Cecelia (Salas) Delgado. Over the course of her life, Josephine worked as a medical assistant, housekeeper, and laborer; but what she is know most for is being a good and loving mother. Josephine enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening and shopping; especially thrift shops. In her younger days she loved to sing and dance. But most of all, Josephine loved spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren.

Josephine is survived by nine children; Rodolfo (Pamela) Barron, Jr., Bennie Barron, Lupe Barron, Richard Barron, Henry Sanchez, Brenda Sanchez, Roger (Lisa) Vega, Daniel (Lisa) Vega and Jessica (Shawn) Willett, 58 grandchildren; 87 great-grandchildren; brother; Pete Delgado, daughter in-law; Sandra Barron and numerous nieces and nephews.

Josephine was preceded in death by two children; Arthur Barron, 1995 and Lisa LaFramboise, 2010, eight brothers and sisters; John, Mercy Arroyo, Tonya Mosqueda, Albert, Frank and Mike Armola, Jesse and Joseph Delgado.

FUNERAL: Services for Josephine will take place Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 1:00 PM from Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State St.) Saginaw, MI 48603. Fr. Jack Johnson to officiate. Interment to follow in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.

VISITATION: Family and friends are welcome to visit Deisler Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 2:00 until 8:00 PM and again Wednesday from 12:00 PM until the time of services.
