Obituary of Jose N. Delgado Sr.
Delgado, Jose N. Sr.
Saginaw, Michigan
Loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022 at Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw. He was 71 years old. Jose Nabor Delgado was born on May 21, 1950, in Harlingen, Texas to the late Carlos and Octaviana (Tello) Delgado. He married Delia Ledesma August 3, 1985, she survives him. Jose was employed by Saginaw Steering Gear, retiring in 2002 after 32 years of service. He was a member of the Cathedral of Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church for many years.
Jose loved taking trips to Texas, Florida and California. He enjoyed watching football, especially his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. No matter the time of day or night, Jose was always willing to jump out of bed for a trip to the casino. He also enjoyed going fishing and playing Dominos with his friend, Dog. But, what Jose really loved most was spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his famous saying, “GOT DAMIT!!!” that’s when you knew you were in trouble. Jose will also be remembered for digging holes all around the world after his metal detector alerted him to buried treasure which usually ended up being an old rusty bottle cap. One of these holes can still be found beneath a board in his son’s yard in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was known for his famous “CHILE”. If you were unable to find Jose, all you had to do was check Team One Credit Union or your local Walmarts.
