Obituary of Bonnie Marie Gower

Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Ascension St. Mary’s in Saginaw, she was 76 years old. Bonnie Marie Jones was born on December 4, 1945 to the late Lawrence and Marie (Marker) Jones. She married James R. Gower in July 25, 1964 in Saginaw, Michigan. He preceded her in death on July 14, 1967.

Bonnie loved knitting, gardening, and feeding the birds. She also enjoyed watching movies. But, what Bonnie really loved most was spending time with her family. Although she was sometimes stubborn and set in her ways, she will be remembered by those who loved her as being very kind and never complaining.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Russell Gower, Chamie Gower, and Stephanie Gower; three grandchildren, Stephanie, Jimmy, and Cody; two great-grandchildren, James and Lily; three brothers, Brian Jones, Barry Jones, Charles (Janice) Jones, and many nieces and nephews.

Bonnie was preceded in death by siblings, Barb, Beverly, Butch, William, and Brenda.

FUNERAL SERVICE: A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 28, 2022 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Pastoral Associate Sharon Wahl will officiate. Burial to follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.

VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.

MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to “Wishes of the family” c/o Russell Gower.
